Wayland High Graduates the Class of 2013
After a rainy start to the weekend, Sunday's skies cleared allowing Wayland High School's 2013 gradation ceremony to take place outdoors.
Proud parents and family members, friends and community members filled the home stands of the Wayland High School stadium Sunday afternoon as about the members of the Class of 2013 received their diplomas.
WHS Principal Pat Tutwiler recalled in his speech how the graduating class came into Wayland High with a so-called "reputation."
"[This class] more than any other in my years here, came to our doors four years ago with a bit of a reputation, shall we say, preceding them."

Tutwiler then catalogued the extensive accomplishments of the particular class, including academic achievements, athletic milestones, artistic awards and even that nine Eagle Scouts graduated with the Class of '13.
"The [earlier] perception stands in such stark contrast to the graduates who sit before me," Tutwiler concluded.
