Wayland School Officials Address Racist Incident In Locker Room: Report

WAYLAND, MA — School officials in Wayland are investigating a racist incident that occurred in the locker room at Wayland High School, according to a report from WCVB. The news station obtained a letter sent to families on Friday.
The report said a yellow plastic "children at play" street sign was in the boy's locker room, hung by a belt around its neck from a ceiling pipe. The figure was wearing a Black student's football jersey, according to WCVB.
The school's principal, Allyson Mizoguchi, said an investigation identified the students who were responsible for the incident, according to WCVB. She also noted that the WHS counseling team and "other trusted adults" would be available to students on Friday.
