Wayland Town Meeting and Official Election Results

Wayland voters approved the 2016 budget during the first session of the annual town meeting Thursday.

WAYLAND, MA - It has been an exciting week for Wayland; we had town elections and the first session of the annual town meeting where voters approved the town's 2016 budget. Here's a breakdown of what's happened so far:

Town Meeting:

Article 1: Recognize Citizens and Employees for Particular Service to the Town - Passed

Article 2 - Pay Previous Fiscal Year Unpaid Bills - Passed Over

Article 3 - Current Year Transfers - Passed

Article 4 - OPEB Funding - Establish 53D Recreation Revolving Fund for the Wayland Town Beach - Passed

Article 5 - Establish 53D Recreation Revolving Fund for the Wayland Town Beach - Passed

Article 6 - Establish a Recreation Stabilization Fund - Passed

Article 7 - Adopt Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 44, Section 53 E ½, Revolving Accounts as Amended - Passed

Article 8 - FY 2017 Omnibus Budget as Amended - Passed

The adjourned town meeting will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Wayland School field house with possible adjourned meetings taking place on Monday at 7 p.m., Tuesday at 7 p.m., and Thursday at 7 p.m. as needed.
