Weekend Agenda: 'Church Ladies,' Tax-Free Shopping, 375th Concert
Looking for something to do in Wayland this weekend. Here's is a look at what's going on in town.
Tax-Free Weekend
It seems only right that shopping make the Weekend Agenda when the the weekend happens to be tax-free. Remember, clothes aren't taxed in Massachusetts anyway, but Aug. 10-11 could be a great time to pick up a new television. Just keep these "tax-free weekend guidelines" in mind.
The Church Ladies Band at Wayland Town Beach
The summer concert series at Wayland Town Beach continues Aug. 10 as The Church Ladies Band hits the sand to perform. The concert is scheduled from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. and admission to the beach is free after 2:30 p.m.
Rowan Brothers in Concert
Wayland's own Rowan Brothers will be at Vokes Theater Saturday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online for this show being offered in honor of Wayland's 375th anniversary.
2013 Perseid Meteor Shower Peaks
The 2013 Perseid Meteor Shower has been going on for some time time, but the peak of activity is expected on Aug. 11 and 12. You could see as many as 60 "shooting stars" an hour those nights.
