3 Wellesley Homes Burglarized Wednesday Morning: Police
Entry to the homes was made via unlocked doors and windows, so police are urging residents to make sure their doors and windows are locked.
WELLESLEY, MA — The Wellesley Police Department is urging caution after three homes were broken into early Wednesday.
The burglaries occurred on Garden Road, Sawyer Road and Hawthorne Road, police said on Facebook. Entry to them was made through unlocked doors and windows on their first floors.
All three homes were occupied by their residents at the time of the burglaries, police said, and items were stolen from them.

A fourth home saw an attempted break-in, but no entry was gained since the house's first floor doors and windows were all locked, police said.
Wellesley police officers and detectives are investigating the cases, and anyone with information on them is asked to call the Wellesley Police Department at (781) 235-1212 or email Detective Stan Dunajski at SDunajski@wellesleyma.gov.

"Less than a month ago, similar burglaries to occupied homes occurred during the overnight hours in the Edgewater Drive neighborhood," police said. "Entry was made via unlocked doors in those cases as well."
Police are urging residents to ensure the doors and windows to their homes and cars are locked, and are encouraging the public to report any suspicious activity to the Wellesley Police Department.
