5 Things You Need to Know: Marathon Monday, Tax Deadline, and More

On Patriot's Day, here are the five things you need to know about April 15.

1. Should be a pleasant day for a marathon--and conveniently there is one today. Mostly sunny, a high of 62ºF. The National Weather Service is predicting the evening will lead to 40ºF lows and a partly cloudy sky.

2. The Boston Marathon's route will pass through Wellesley from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m, as thousands of runners make their way from Hopkinton to Boston, via Wellesley and Newton. Roads will be closed in Newton and in Wellesley.

3. Today is the deadline for taxes. Don't forget to file them today, when you have finished watching the marathon (if you haven't already). Otherwise, you may need to file for an extension

4. It is also April Vacation this week. One suggested activity from our calendar is the Camp at KidsStreet. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and features LEGO and a number of other activities. KidsStreet, located at 71 4th Ave in Needham, is charging $60 for the camp.
