App Helping Shoppers Keep it In Wellesley

To help Wellesley shoppers keep their purchases local, the Town has launched a new website, and a new app is coming soon. 

InWellesley is a new business directory launched by the town, and coming soon is an app available for smart phones which lets users search businesses and print out coupons for local businesses. 

Businesses can use the directory as a "micro-site" for their products and services, and it will connect to the Facebook and Twitter accounts of those businesses so customers can get in touch with Wellesley's local shops.

From the announcement on the Town website, "by allowing businesses the opportunity to display new information such as new merchandise, available job openings and other topical news, the town is helping their business community become more available and more vibrant. 

The app will be available for both Android and iOS smart phones. At the time of writing, the app is not available on either app store.
