The festival was founded in 1989, and has expanded from 10 to 40 showings mostly in Boston, at the Museum of Fine Arts, and Brookline at the Coolidge Corner Theatre.
The festival is showing two films at the West Newton Cinema this month. March 6 "Dorfman in Love" screens at 7 p.m., and on March 18, "Life in Stills," 7 p.m., West Newton Cinema.
[Correction: 10:37 a.m.] A previous version of the article incorrectly indicated that Widman has been VP of the BJFF for ten years. This has been corrected.
