Boston Marathoner Profiles: Wellesley Couple Running for Charity

Two from Wellesley running in memory of a friend, for the first time since 1998.

 

A few weeks ago, Wellesley Patch asked for profiles from folks running the Boston Marathon. We start with a two-for-one: a Wellesley couple running in memory of a friend:

Runner name: Kristin Donahue & Tom Donahue
Age (or age group): 43 & 42
Profession: at-home & investment banker
Marathon experience: last marathon was 15 years ago, Boston 1998
Reason for running: to honor the memory of our friend, Glen and to support the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation
Training tip: At this point take care of yourself and try to stay injury free.

The 117th Boston Marathon will bring thousands of runners from Hopkinton to Boston, via Wellesley on Monday, April 15, 2013. The route will pass through Wellesley from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
