In January, 44-year-old Davidson was shot to death in an exam room at the Brigham by Stephen Pasceri, whose mother died weeks after Davidson successfully operated on her. Pasceri, 55, who blamed Davidson for her death, killed himself after shooting the surgeon twice.
Dr. Caroline Fox, who worked with Davidson at the Brigham, said to the Globe that he and his wife had helped teach her how to hydrate properly and carry enough snacks when she picked up running about a year ago.
