David Murphy supports Tom Ulfelder for Wellesley Selectboard

I am writing to ask Wellesley voters to join me in voting for Tom Ulfelder for reelection to the Select Board on March 7, 2023.

Tom is a superb leader for this Town. He has served as the Chair and the Vice Chair of the Select Board over the past four years, and he has effectively led the process of setting the Town's strategic priorities and begun the implementation of those initiatives. He works extremely well with other Boards and Town employees to get things done in an open and sustainable manner.

Tom is a respected Town leader because he listens carefully to opposing viewpoints and creates productive dialogue on tough issues. My own experience on the Board convinced me this careful listening is the most important skill a Select person needs. I am continually impressed with the fair and respectful way he asks questions and elicits information. He encourages active participation of all parties and creates the right climate for decision making.

The election on March 7 will be an important one for the Town. Through his service, Tom has demonstrated he can lead Wellesley into the future. Tom cares deeply about the way decisions are made, and he has the right set of skills, demeanor, and experience to serve this Town. Please vote to re-elect Tom Ulfelder.
