A little rain didn't stop the race. The Wellesley 1-Miler for Hannah Randolph went off on Sunday without a hitch.
More than 400 runners turned out on Mothers' Day morning. According to the Race website, the winning runners were Christopher Simpson and Alissa Nelson.

Organizer Dave Hannon told Patch that they do not have a tally for the race at the time of writing, but that many runners hope to come out next year.
He added that Hannah's father Marshall Randolph, watching the kids running the race, commented, "Hannah would be happy today."

This year's race supported the Hannah Randolph Memorial Fund, which provides scholarships to 9th grade Wellesley students with a passion for athletics, art and friendship--like the fund's namesake. Last year, a donation was made to Boston Children's Hospital in Hannah's name.
There were a number of other changes from the previous race, including a new race manager and location, although many of the donors from last year's race returned. Including: City Sports, Whole Foods, Marathon Sports, Roche Bros., Dunkin Donuts, Wellesley Bakery and Papa Razzi.
Of course, like last year, the runners were still gathered in honor of a Wellesley High School freshman who lost her life in a skiing accident last year.
