7:00 p.m. Officer DiCenso was conducting traffic enforcement on Worcester Street near Weston Road when she observed Dodge sedan pass her location. She conducted a query of the vehicle’s registration which revealed that the registration was revoked. DiCenso stopped the vehicle and spoke with the operator, 63-year-old Barbara McCauley of Brockton. A query of her information showed that her license was suspended and she had an active default warrant issued by the Brockton District Court for motor vehicle-related charges. 8:40 p.m. - Officer Gerard spoke to a man at the police station who stated they had spoken with a contractor in May regarding landscaping work and the installation of a basketball hoop. He indicated he was quoted a price of $35,752 for the work and paid that amount. He stated the contractor charged his credit card $16,000 twice and he also provided a check for $10,000 so he overpaid for the project which was not fully completed yet. The man stated that the contractor stated it was an error that the credit card was charged twice and that he was having a cash flow problem, but that he would refund the overage at some point in the future. Officer Gerard spoke with the contractor who insisted it was an error and he was in the process of refunding the over charge. Officer Gerard will follow up to determine if the issue has been resolved.

11:50 a.m. - Officer Lindelof spoke with a woman who stated that she had an unpleasant encounter with an employee at the bank where she conducts her business. She stated that the employee was rude to her and would not continue to assist her with her banking transactions so she asked her to reverse the ones that had already been completed. She was concerned that she wouldn’t have documentation that they had been reversed so she took out her phone to record the interaction and the bank employee asked her to stop recording her. She ignored the bank employee and continued to record her at which point the bank employee took her phone. She stated she had to return to the bank and was concerned she would have to deal with the same employee in the future. Lindelof advised her to contact the individual’s regional manager to speak about the issue. A short time later the bank employee called with concerns about the customer returning to the bank and indicated she did not feel comfortable with her returning to her branch to conduct her business and asked that we assist them by issuing a verbal no trespass order to her. Lindelof contacted the reporting party and advised her that she was no longer welcome at that particular bank branch. She stated she would not return to that branch but was dissatisfied because she felt that the bank employee was the one who had been rude throughout their interaction.
