• Checking out the "We are Wellesley: Beyond White Picket Fences" portraits (theswellesleyreport.com) — A traveling portrait exhibit celebrating Wellesley residents is now on display at the Barton Road Community Center and will move to Wellesley Free Library for a Jan. 21 talk. Created by Wellesley High School photography students and teacher Doug Johnson, the show highlights longtime and newer neighbors active in town government, schools, business, medicine, and the arts.
   

• Natick girls basketball earns first win over Newton North since 2019 (masslive.com) — Natick’s girls basketball team stayed unbeaten by edging Newton North 54-50, a result that reshapes the Bay State Conference picture for Wellesley’s league rivals. Newton North had opened the winter with wins over Framingham and Wellesley before Natick snapped its streak. The Red Hawks now eye a fourth straight victory when they host Algonquin on Monday night.
