FBI Report: How Much Violent Crime Happened in Wellesley?

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which includes information about Wellesley.

According to the report, Wellesley saw 14 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

There were 1reported rape, four robberies, and 9 aggravated assaults.

Other crime stats for Wellesley include 135 larcenies, 39 burglaries, and four motor vehicle thefts.

Nationally, violent crime decreased last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
