WELLESLEY, MA — A Wellesley family is displaced after a fire on Saturday night engulfed and destroyed their home.
The Pollock family was sleeping in their Riverdale Road home on Saturday night when a fire broke out. The two-alarm fire ravaged the home but the family was able to get out safely — the new puppy was not found but is not believed to be injured.
Several fire companies including Wellesley, Newton, Weston and Natick assisted in putting out the fire. The home burned from midnight until it was fully extinguished around 5:30 a.m.

While the family is safe, they lost their home and most of their belongings in the fire. The community quickly stepped up to help the family and Sari Perrino set up a GoFundMe page for the Pollock family on Monday. By Tuesday afternoon the page had exceeded its funding goal of $100,000 and raised $101,225.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
