Presidential Primary Election: Wellesley Voting Info

Here's what you need to know for March 1's Presidential Primary Election.

WELLESLEY, MA—The presidential primary election is less than two weeks away, and residents are busy making their final decisions on who they would like to vote for.

Elections will be held on March 1 and absentee ballots applications are due before noon the day before. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. across the state.

The Town of Wellesley will be using new voting equipment beginning with the March 2016 elections. The equipment is still optical scanning technology, so paper ballots are read by the machine. Voters will be required to fill in the oval to the right of the candidate name and then feed the ballot into the machine for reading and tabulation.

The Town of Wellesley asks that voters be patient because the machine takes about four seconds to record the ballot and notify the voter that the ballot has been accepted.
