Run of the Charles Featuring One Wellesley Paddler
The 31st annual canoe and kayak race on the Charles river features a woman from Wellesley.

One Wellesley resident is among the 1,500 folks paddling the Charles in April.
Wellesley resident Laura McKeever registered to row a 9-mile stretch of the Charles River in the upcoming Run of the charles canoe and kayak race. She is racing in the Women Category of the 9-Mile Race on April 28.

It is an all-skill-level race, which draws recreational paddlers from 11 to 80, according to a press release from the Charles River Watershed Association. In addition to the 9-mile race, rowers will be participating in a 24-mile relay, as well as a 19- and 6-mile race.
This heads to the Finish Line Festival at DCR’s Artesani Park in Brighton, April 28, and features Wayland band Mid Life Crisis, where you will hear some Oldies, Classic Rock, Motown, R&B and New Wave.
