Start Times For Opening Day At Wellesley High School

The students' arrival time depends on what grade they're in.

WELLESLEY, MA — Incoming Wellesley High School freshmen should expect to arrive for the first day of school earlier than their fellow classmates.

Freshmen and transfer students will start their day at 7:30 a.m. with bus pickup starting at 6:40 a.m. Breakfast will be provided, according to a letter from the Challenge Success Team. Everyone else will arrive at 11:30 a.m. and start their day in their advisory classrooms. Bus transportation for grades 10-12 starts at 10:30 a.m.

Lunch will be available for purchase for freshmen and transfer students while everyone else should eat lunch before school.

During the opening three days, all classes will meet for one 20 minute session and one 60 minute session. Advisories throughout the week will be extended to allow for administrative back-to-school logistics and community-building time. Students will also receive a schedule for the first three days upon arrival, according to the team.

The first day of school in Wellesley is Aug. 29.
