State Tells Wellesley, Needham Housing Authorities To Split

The agreement between the two agencies is set to end Sept. 30.

WELLESLEY, MA — The management agreement between Wellesley's and Needham's housing authorities, must end, the state’s Department of Housing and Community Development has decided.

Citing "concerns," the state agency has ordered the two departments to separate by Sept. 30, according to the Wellelsey Townsman. Currently, the Wellesley authority pays a monthly fee to the Needham authority which allows the Needham Housing Authority executive director to act as the Wellesley executive director.

Paul Dumouchel, executive director of the Needham and Wellesley housing authoritiess, said now is not the time to switch horses.
