Wellesley Gap To Close By The End Of January
Gap, inc. said the closure was part of a "strategy to adapt to the changing needs of our customer and growth of our online business."

WELLESLEY, MA — The Gap store in Wellesley is closing its doors for good by the end of January.
Located at 74 Central St. the Wellesley Gap location first opened in 1991. A corporate spokesperson for Gap said the Wellesley location was closing as part of "company strategy to adapt to the changing needs of our customer and growth of our online business."
Until the end of January, shoppers will be able to take advantage of 30 to 50 percent off of items. Nearby Gap locations that are still open include locations in Natick and Dedham.

Gap said "We remain committed to making appropriate and timely decisions on stores that don’t fit our vision for the future of Gap Inc. We are confident these closures will help strengthen the health of our company moving forward."
No word on what will replace the store in 2021.
