Wellesley Attempted Home Break-In Under Investigation

The suspect kicked in the front door but ran off when they realized the family was home.

WELLESLEY, MA — Wellesley police are investigating an attempted home break-in on Friday.

Police said someone kicked-in the door of a home on Pine Plain Road around 8 p.m. but ran away when they realized that the residents were still home. Police said the person ran off towards the Bates School Field and hasn't been seen since.

Wellesley police are hoping that neighbors with surveillance cameras might be able to help identify the suspect. Anyone with footage or information can contact Officer Tim Dennehy or Detective Stan Dunajski at 781-235-1212.
