Wellesley HS Earns A Gold Medal From US News And World Report
The school is among the best in Massachusetts, according to the magazine's new rankings.

WELLESLEY, MA — Wellesley High School received a gold medal for being one the best high schools in Massachusetts, according to the U.S. News and World Report's 2018 Best High Schools rankings.
Wellesley placed 20th in the state and 487th nationally. Boston Latin School was named the top high school in Massachusetts.
The ranking was good enough to earn a gold medal in the national rankings, which was given to 500 schools based on their highest college readiness scores.

These are Wellesley's vital stats, according to the survey:
- 13:1 student-teacher ratio
- 58.2 college readiness score
- 60 percent participate in AP exams
- 96 percent pass AP exams
- 94 percent proficiency in math
- 99 percent proficiency in reading
- 98 percent graduation rate
