WELLESLEY, MA — Wellesley police caught and arrested three minors who police said were involved in the break-ins of several cars in town and the theft of one.
On Jan. 9 officers received a call about a reported break-in for three cars on Crest Road. The caller told police they heard their dog barking but didn't see anything else suspicious. One officer noticed a white SUV with its lights off and tried to stop the car. The SUV drove off at first but stopped on Kingsbury Street. Police said one of the minors in the car tried to get out of the car and run off. Two other minors were still in the car, police said.
