Man Fatally Struck By Train In Wellesley
Police have confirmed that a man near the tracks has died.

WELLESLEY, MA — A man was killed while on the train tracks in Wellesley, MBTA Transit Police confirmed.
At about 3 p.m., police responded to a report of a person who was struck by a Worcester Line Commuter Rail train. A preliminary investigation confirmed that a man on the right of way near the Weston Road bridge was struck by a train heading to Boston from Worcester.
The man has been pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

Foul play is not suspected.
The 1:55 p.m. train from Worcester was halted at Wellesley Square. A shuttle bus was expected to be at the station by 4:45 p.m. to transport passengers into Boston, according to the MBTA.

The scene was cleared by 6:20 p.m., according to Wellesley Police.

WPD and @MBTATransitPD are investigating an incident on the train tracks near Central Street and Weston Road. Commuter rail traffic has been stopped. Avoid the area.
