License Check
While performing traffic enforcement at the Oakland Street intersection with Washington Street, Officer Derby saw a passing gray Nissan before 6:30 a.m. on May 15. He performed a random query of the vehicle and learned that the vehicle owner's license had been revoked.

After pulling the driver over, he requested the license and registration. The driver handed over his registration and a passport. The driver, identified as Martinelli DeSousa, 29, of Everett was arrested and charged with driving after a license revocation.
He was transported to the station, book, and later released on personal recognizance.

Query, Check, Stop
On May 15, at about 8:30 p.m., Officer Lindelof was patrolling Worcester Street, near Cedar Street, and queried a passing Chevy Tahoe. The check revealed that the owner's license had been suspended and the car's registration revoked. He pulled the vehicle over at Cliff Road.
The driver produced her license and registration. After confirming the information, the driver, Kim Napoleon of Natick, 50, was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked registration, driving on a suspended license, driving an uninsured vehicle, and driving without an inspection sticker. She was taken into custody and later released on personal recognizance.
Bump and Drive
At about 5:30 a.m. May 16, Officer Lindelof was dispatched to an business on Washington Street where a vehicle crash had been reported. The driver in the parking lot said that the other vehicle had left the lot, and he believed that driver may have been intoxicated. The fleeing vehicle had gone down Washington Street toward Newton.
Police set off to find that vehicle, and located the other car involved. He put on his overhead lights to stop the vehicle, but it continued and eventually pulled into a Newton parking lot. Lindelof then spoke to the driver, and noticed her eyes appeared to be glassy and he could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle. He added that she had difficulty getting her documents together.
When asked about the collision in Wellesley, she told him that she bumped another car, and he says she minimized the seriousness of leaving the scene. Her speech was slurred, and she repeated some statements. After initially denying she had had anything to drink, Lindelof said she admitted to have some, then took a failed three field sobriety tests.
60-year-old Dierdre O'Reilly of South Hamilton was arrested and charged with operating under the influence, operating to endanger, and leaving the scene of a crash. While performing an inventory of the car, police also located an open bottle of vodka and of another clear alcoholic liquid. She was additionally charged with driving with an open container.
After being transported and booked, O'Reilly was later released on personal recognizance.
Stop and Lie in the Grass
The police department received a complaint from a Marvin Road address of a woman lying on their lawn, at about 5:45 p.m. on May 16. Officer Dixon was dispatched and found a woman sitting on the lawn. He requested her identification, and when asked why, he explained that he needed to verify her identity.
Police learned that the woman had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Dedham District Court for an assault-and-battery question. Appleby Road resident Kelly Debra, 57 was arrested and charged on that warrant. She was transported and booked, and was taken to court the next morning.
