Loud Rider

Officer Derby, at about 8:15 p.m. on May 15, reported seeing a Honda Hatchback on Walnut Street, which appeared significantly lowered and had a loud muffler. These are both violations of road codes. He pulled the vehicle over, and approached the vehicle.

He asked the driver for his license, which he said he did not have. A check determined he did not have a license to drive. While speaking with the driver, Derby noticed that a driver in the rear seat was not wearing a seatbelt, and asked him for his identification--police learned that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

The driver, Donoval Deleon, 25 of Waltham was arrested and charged with driving without a license, modifying the height of his vehicle, and creating a harsh, objectionable noise.

The passenger was also arrested and charged. 21-year-old William Sarceno Rivera, also of Waltham, was arrested and charged on that outstanding warrant for vehicle charges.

Both were later released on personal recognizance.

Found Fugitives

Officers Hughes and Cunningham, who work for the department's fugitive apprehension unit, were informed that a Courtney Banks, 18, for whom they had an outstanding warrant was in Rockland.

She was arrested and charged on that warrant, for larceny from a building and forging promissory notes, on May 17 at about 10:45 at her address in Rockland.

The unit was also informed that a Sheree Mackey, 39, of Whitman was at an address in Quincy. Police arrested and charged her at about 9:30 a.m., May 17, on that warrant for larceny from a building and forging promissory notes as well.

Police say the two cases are related.
