Eyes Bigger Than Your Plates
May 6, at about 8:15 p.m., as Officer Derby was performing traffic enforcement near Worcester Street, he reported seeing a Mitsubishi sedan pass with no front plate. He stopped the vehicle on Route 9 at the intersection with Cedar, and noted that neither passenger was wearing a seatbelt.
The driver provided a name and date of birth, and a check of his information revealed that he had a straight warrant for larceny of less than $250 outstanding.
The driver, identified as 31-year-old Nicholas Whitney of Natick was arrested and charged on that outstanding warrant. He was transported to and booked at the station, and later bailed.
