Cook currently heads up the J.L. Mulready Elementary School in Hudson, and prior to her time there, she worked in Boston as the Assistant Director for Teaching and Learning for the city's Public Schools and as a classroom teacher at Dorchester's Mather Elementary School.
Said Lussier, in the letter, "The pool of applicants was very strong for this position, and I want to thank all of the staff and community members who participated throughout the selection process. Your input was essential in supporting a final decision on behalf of the Hardy Community and the Wellesley Public Schools."

When Natick gained a principal, another educator stepped forward from that town to fill in Kinkead's shoes temporarily. A few weeks after the initial announcement, Bernadine Small was announced as the school's interim principal.
Lussier also thanked Small for her leadership and support during the search process.
