Celebrity Comedian Jimmy Tingle To Perform at MassBay Community College as a Benefit for Newton Country Players – Boston’s-own Jimmy Tingle, regarded as one of the top social and political humorists in America, is bringing his standup act to MassBay Community College in Wellesley on Friday, June 14 at 8 p.m. as a benefit for Newton Country Players, Newton’s only community theatre.
We’ve Never Needed You More! - On Sunday, May 5, Project Bread will host its 45th annual Walk for Hunger. This year, however, is unlike any other year. After the tragic events of the Boston Marathon bombing, Project Bread is faced with being the first mass public gathering in the city, aside from ticketed sporting events.

- Wellesley Staples Associate Chooses Non-Profit Organization to Benefit from Staples Foundation Grant. Staples Foundation, the private charitable arm of Staples, Inc., has awarded $5,000 to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation – New England Chapter.
Needham Community Council Thanks the Community for a Successful Fashion Show - We would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Needham community for making the Community Council’s First Thrift Shop Fashion Show such a success. We filled Powers Hall, informed our guests about the good works of both the Needham DVAC [Domestic Violence Action Committee] and the Needham Community Council CAP [Child Assault Prevention] Program, and had a rousing good time!
