Susie Shortsleeve Wins Seat on Weston’s Board of Assessors - Long-term Weston resident (and Patch blogger!), Susie Shortsleeve, stepped forward for her community and successfully campaigned for the Board of Assessors. The official results came in over the weekend, announcing Shortsleeve as the new seat holder.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Million Pound Challenge - The Big Brother Big Sister Foundation is in need of the public's support through donations of lightly used clothing and small household items. This May they are on a mission to collect over one million pounds of clothing!

Max Warburg Courage Curriculum’s 22nd Annual Awards Luncheon - More than 325 guests gathered in the Imperial Ballroom at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel on May 3rd, to celebrate The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum’s 22nd annual Awards Luncheon and the exceptional courage of 41 sixth-grade students from Boston and surrounding communities.

Families of Inspiration - Sunday, June 2, 2013 4 – 7 p.m.: Bring the whole family to this unique fundraiser that helps raise awareness for family homelessness in Massachusetts. In a state as richly resourced as Massachusetts, One Family believes that no parent or child should live without a roof over their head.
