Find out when will you be able to take the ice for a skate or a dip in the pool.

WELLESLEY, MA — Remember how for years the town has been talking about bringing a new recreation center to town? Well, the dream will soon be reality as work continues on the Wellesley Sports Center.

So when will you be able to take the ice for a skate or a dip in the pool? Brian Devellis, president of managing partner Edge Sports Group, told the Wellesley Townsman that the ice rinks are scheduled to open with temporary occupancy Dec. 15. The pool and turf will follow in the spring.

Upon completion, the 130,000-square-foot facility will include two NHL sized ice hockey rinks, two indoor pools (one competition and one teaching), an indoor synthetic turf field, along with support spaces such as strength and conditioning space, physical therapy, food concessions and pro-shop.
