Congratulate the Westborough 10-Year-Old Little Leaguers

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your day in Westborough.

It's Friday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Congratulate the Westborough 10-Year-Old Little Leaguers.

Westborough was the top fundraising team in this year's Jimmy Fund tournament. Cameron and Luke Sullivan were the top individual fundraisers, and they and the team were honored at Fenway Park on Sept. 22.

2. Buy a book.

The Friends of the Westborough Public Library holds a book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

3. Root for the Rangers.

  • Golf: at Groton-Dunstable, at Groton Country Club, 3:30 p.m.
  • Varsity field hockey: vs. Fitchburg, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman field hockey: vs. Medfield, at WHS baseball field, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman boys soccer: at Groton-Dunstable, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman girls soccer: at Groton-Dunstable, 4 p.m.
  • JV volleyball: at Shrewsbury, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman volleyball: at Shrewsbury, 4 p.m.
  • Varsity volleyball: at Shrewsbury, 5:15 p.m.
4. Go ice skating.

NorthStar Ice Sports will hold public skating from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. 

5. In case you missed it.

Eight Westborough High School sports standouts will be inducted into the Rangers' Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 26.
