Friends of Westborough to Sponsor 'What to Do in an Emergency' Program

The program will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12.

From The Friends of Westborough, Inc.:

The Friends of Westborough,Inc. are pleased to sponsor a program on Wednesday, Oct. 12 with Captain Keith Lermond of the Westborough Fire Department. It will begin at 10:30 a.m at the fire station meeting room. Captain Lermond will speak about "What To Do In An Emergency." There are many types of emergencies that may occur besides weather issues. He will present information on when to go to a shelter, when to shelter in place and what we should all keep on hand in our homes to help get through emergencies.

Coffee and pastry will be provided to all attending. The program is free and open to the public. A short annual meeting of The Friends of Westborough will be presented prior to the program.

In the year 2015-2016, the organization granted over $5,000 in community funding requests. The next event sponsored by the group will be the annual Fall Fair on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The community support for over thirty years of the organization is greatly appreciated by all who benefit in the community giving.
