Grafton Man Killed In Westborough Crash

A driver went off the road on Otis street, landing in a back yard.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—A Grafton man has died from injuries sustained in a car crash Monday night in Westborough.

Around 11:30 p.m., Westborough's police and fire departments were called to the intersection of Otis and Fisher streets for a report of a serious car accident. Units found a 2008 Honda CRV in the back yard of 78 Fisher St., with the vehicle sustaining extensive front end damage from hitting a large pine tree. The operator was trapped inside.

Paramedics assisted the injured driver, Christian N. Onarato, 31, of Grafton, but he did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial investigation by Officer Richard Trainor and Accident Reconstructionist Cliff Luce revealed that speed and failure to stop for a stop sign were contributing factors in the accident. Westborough Police were assisted in the investigation by members of the CEMLEC accident reconstruction unit.
