Westborough Company Raises Over $500K For Nonprofit Supporting Veterans

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A Westborough-based company raised more than half a million dollars for a nonprofit that supports veterans and their loved ones.

Convenience store retailer EG America raised $580,553 for Disabled American Veterans, the company announced on Tuesday. DAV helps provide no-cost services to veterans, their families and caregivers.

EG America's network of over 1,500 convenience stores, including Cumberland Farms, Certified Oil, and Quik Stop, raised funds through an in-store campaign in November. The program invited customers to contribute $1, $5, or any amount at checkout to support DAV.

DAV supports more than 1 million veterans in accessing health care and benefits and in finding meaningful employment opportunities.
