New Cold Harbor Brewery May Open As Soon As July

Cold Harbor will leave its Milk Street location for a new, larger facility along Otis Street, with an opening planned in the coming weeks.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — The new Cold Harbor Brewing taproom along Milk Street may open next month following a recent town approval for a liquor license.

The owners of the Milk Street brewery received an all alcohol license after a public hearing at the end of May in front of the Westborough Select Board. With the license in hand, the brewery will be able to legally serve its main products at the new Otis Street facility.

The new brewery will be located just south of Route 9. McCarty Companies, the construction company behind the new building, said in a recent Facebook post the new site could open in mid-July. The new location will be about 8,000 square-feet with a 2,500 square-foot outdoor area, and will serve food alongside beer.

Cold Harbor, named after a brook that flows through the "borough" communities, first opened in 2015 along Milk Street. Owner Will Oliveira, a Northborough resident, opened the brewery with former head brewer Brandon Heisler after meeting at the former Hopsters brewpub in Newton.

Cold Harbor's popular brews, including the flagship IPAs Novacaine and Juice Freak, can now be found in stores across the state.
