New Westborough Community Center: Public Forums Scheduled
The Westborough Select Board will hold a special public hearing Tuesday on the project.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — Local residents will get a chance to comment on a proposed new community center, which the town would build after buying a building in the Bay State Commons complex downtown.
Westborough Town Meeting will vote on the plan to buy 1500 Union St. for close to $9 million at a special meeting set for Oct. 16.
If approved, Westborough would own the multistory building that houses the Boston Sports Clubs gym and a seasonal Spirit Halloween store. The large building would be home to a new senior center on the lower level, plus recreation programs and recreation offices on the second floor.
