'Shop Westborough' Site Goes Live With Over 100 Local Businesses
The Shop Westborough initiative is part of a recovery plan in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — A local business directory that's one piece of Westborough's COVID-19 recovery plan went live this week, offering residents and visitors a single location to find information about everything from restaurants to women-owned businesses.
The business directory grew out of Westborough's participation in the state Local Rapid Recovery Program. The town used grant money to create a plan to help businesses recover, and one point in that plan was to create a "Shop Westborough" directory.
"The directory enables users to search Westborough businesses by keyword search, distance, industry, and status as a minority-owned, women-owned, or veteran-owned business," the town said in a news release Monday.
