Tornado Warning Expires In Westborough, Shrewsbury

The National Weather Service reported a tornado on radar around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A tornado warning in effect for a large area from Oxford to Northborough has expired.

The National Weather Service issued the tornado warning at around 9 a.m. and allowed it to expire 9:30 a.m. The weather service did not immediately confirm if the twister actually touched down.

There was a second a tornado warning issued covering Buzzards Bay, Acushnet and Mattapoisett issued at 11:45 a.m. as strong storms moved east across the state.

Massachusetts has seen two confirmed tornadoes so far this summer, including one in East Brookfield and a second one near the Easton and Foxborough line.
