Westborough Library Compares History Documents With Dr. Robert Allison

The Westborough Library will be comparing history documents from 'Scanning Day' with Dr. Allison on Apr. 6.

From Westborough Library: How do the images of Westborough items that the Library collected on "Scanning Day" fit into the broader history of our town? Join us Thursday, April 6 at 7 pm when Robert Allison, Professor of History at Suffolk University, will compare the Westborough Town Documents with the historical items residents brought in to scan in February and then discuss how they work together to give us a more complete picture of Westborough and its history.

The program will also feature the debuts of two exciting pieces: a film created by Westborough TV drawn from interviews conducted during "Scanning Day" and an online exhibit of the images that were collected on that day.

Dr. Allison's talk is funded through a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of our Common Heritage project, "Your Town, Your History."
