WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough trick-or-treaters can get a jump on Halloween this year with the town's downtown candy stroll on Tuesday.

On Oct. 24, local kids can dress up and go trick-or-treating in the downtown area, including at local businesses, the police and fire stations, the Forbes Municipal Building and the library.

Participating businesses can be found here. The event will include stops along West Main, Milk, Summer, South and East Main streets and inside Bay State Commons.

Organizers are expecting a large turnout for the 2023 event, and are urging attendees to plan to take alternate transportation — like walking or WRTA's VIA service — due to limited parking.

"Although there will be a police detail to direct traffic around the rotary, it's important that trick-or-treaters and their families use caution when crossing the street and are advised to stay in the crosswalk. Vehicles are advised to avoid the downtown area, if possible, for the event duration," the town advised.
