MA School Custodian Faces Child Porn Charges: Report

WESTBOROUGH, MA — A custodian who has worked at multiple schools in Central Massachusetts is facing child pornography charges, according to a report from WCVB.

Luis Guncay-Barros, 25, of Westborough, was recently hired at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough. He was charged with one count of possession of child pornography and held on $50,000 bail with conditions that he stay away from the school and anyone under the age of 16, according to the report.

Assabet Valley Regional School District confirmed that a member of the custodial staff who was hired two weeks ago was "arrested and charged with crimes against children," according to WCVB.

The district superintendent told WCVB that there is no indication Assabet students were involved, as Guncay-Barros was assigned to the 3 to 11 p.m. shift.

WCVB reported that Guncay-Barros served as a custodian at two Westborough schools before resigning. He worked at Gibbons Middle School from July 2023 through April 2025 and at Fales Elementary School from April 2025 to mid-September.
