Westborough's Children's Library Retires After 30 Years

Dottie Hurley has read to and helped many read over the years in Westborough.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—The Westborough Public Library said it is "at once happy and sad to announce the retirement of Dorothy 'Dottie' Hurley."

Hurley has been the children's librarian at the library for 30 years, and as a tribute to Hurley, there is a gratitude wall up that the public is invited to sign. It's located at the ramp to the Children's Room.

"Westborough children have enjoyed seeing Mrs. Hurley’s welcoming smile," said the release. "She has said what kept her here is 'the constantly renewing supply of families and children who are active at the library; the challenge of serving a diverse population, the former and current directors who value service to children; and a supportive staff who are sharp and fun to work with."
