The Westborough High School varsity volleyball team advanced to the Sectionals semi-finals Tuesday night.
The Rangers defeated visiting Tantasqua, 3-0, in the 2013 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Girls Volleyball Central Division 2 quarterfinals here Tuesday night, according to the tournament website.
Westborough hosts Medfield in the semi-finals at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The winner advances to the final against the winner of Thursday night's Hopkinton-Canton semi-final.
Westborough (16-2 regular season) is seeded second in the 15-team tournament. Tantasqua (13-5) is seeded seventh. Medfield (16-4) is seeded third. Canton (17-2) is seeded first. Hopkinton (14-5) is seeded fifth.
