2 DUI Checkpoints In Massachusetts Christmas Weekend
Massachusetts State Police will conduct drunk-driving checkpoints Friday through Christmas Eve.

Massachusetts police are publicizing two drunk-driving checkpoints that will be held during the upcoming Christmas weekend. State Police will conduct both checkpoints. The first will be held Friday night into Saturday morning somewhere in Norfolk County. The second will be held Saturday night into Sunday morning somewhere in Middlesex County. Christmas is Monday.
The exact location and time frame of the checkpoints were not divulged, per usual state police policy.
"The purpose is to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public's awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways," State Police Colonel Kerry Gilpin said in a statement. "It will be operated during varied hours, the selection of vehicles will not be arbitrary, safety will be assured, and any inconveniences to motorists will be minimized with advance notice to reduce fear and anxiety."
