Concord Road Residents Say Homeless People Stole Their Jewelry

Sept. 9, 4:39 p.m. – A suspicious motor vehicle was reported near a business on Littleton Road.

The owner of the vehicle turned out to be a private investigator from Stoneham who was investigating an employee at the business for an insurance company.

The investigator apologized for not informing dispatch, and said he would do so if he returned to the area.

Sept. 15, 12:54 p.m. – Residents on Concord Road said their jewelry had been stolen by suspects they believe to have been homeless.

The homeless individuals were allowed to stay at the home, but were confronted about potentially stealing the items by the residents, claims they denied.

The detective on the call searched regional pawn shops for the jewelry, but could not find any matches, and the homeless individuals could not be found.

Sept. 17, 11:47 a.m. – A business owner at Cornerstone Square called police after discovering a customer who had written several checks over the past few weeks did not have sufficient funds in their account.

Police found the address of the man in Acton, with Acton Police calling his family’s residence. At first, they reached a man who spoke little English, then they talked to a woman that said the man who wrote the checks would be home later.

The store owner called back that night and said that the man who wrote the checks came back into the store and paid off one of the checks and would come back later to pay off the other ones.

Oct. 2, 12:33 p.m. – Castillo Fermin, 53, of Everett St. in Lawrence was arrested for alleged concealment of number plates, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving an unlicensed motor vehicle, and driving an unlicensed vehicle.

Patch has contacted the Westford Police Department for additional information on this arrest.

UPDATE: The concealed license plate was removed from the car and in its place was a counterfeit place, according to Westford Police spokesman Capt. Victor Neal. 

Oct. 4, 3:08 p.m. – Lucas Cook, 25, of 35 Yvonne Rd. in Bellingham was arrested for alleged operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, reckless endangerment, operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, marked lane violations, driving an uninsured vehicle and violations of open container laws.

Oct. 6, 4:24 p.m. – An unnamed juvenile was arrested in a store on Littleton Road for alleged shoplifting by means of concealment.
