• Folk singer Cormac McCarthy will perform Jan. 9 at Westford MA venue (wickedlocal.com) — A nationally touring folk singer-songwriter, Cormac McCarthy, is coming to the Parish Center for the Arts in Westford on Friday, Jan. 9, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the PCA Coffeehouse Series. Tickets range from $20 to $25, with cabaret-style seating and BYO food and drinks, and advance reservations are encouraged through the PCA website.
   

• Sun Santa donations surpass $40K (lowellsun.com) — Westford residents are among the many neighbors helping push the Sun Santa holiday fund past $41,700, supporting families in need across Greater Lowell. Local donors, including a named Westford family and an anonymous Westford contributor, joined communities from Chelmsford, Dracut, and beyond in making gifts ranging from $10 to $1,000 to brighten this Christmas season.
   

• Monday's high school roundup: Chelmsford Lions roar past Dracut on hardwood, 83-41 (lowellsun.com) — Westford Academy will host the 48th annual Greater Lowell Holiday boys basketball tournament this weekend, with the Ghosts seeded fifth and opening against Pelham. The roundup also notes Westford Academy’s boys hockey loss to Newburyport and a girls hockey shutout against the WA/Groton-Dunstable co-op, alongside results for several neighboring schools’ teams.
