Discussion on Emerging Diseases Tonight

If you'd like to know more about the dangers of Zika, Lyme and other diseases, attend this discussion.

WESTFORD, MA - The Westford Health Department is hosting a discussion tonight titled “Emerging Diseases: Zika, Lyme and More” at the Stony Brook School Auditorium from 7 to 9 p.m.

Dr. Al DeMaria will lead the discussion and provide an update on emerging and newly recognized infectious diseases including the Zika virus, Lyme and new tickborne diseases, mumps, measles and others.

Dr. DeMaria, who is the medical director at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, will talk about the diseases, treatment protocols and current prevention efforts.
