Littleton Woman Dies In 2018's First Fatal Fire
An elderly woman was killed in a Littleton house fire on New Year's Day.

LITTLETON, MA — An elderly woman became 2018's first fatal fire victim, dying in a house fire on King Street Monday morning. The victim has been identified as a 77-year-old woman.
The fire broke out in the early morning hours and has since been contained. A couple dozen firefighters from surrounding Middlesex County towns responded to the scene.
The cause of the fire was immediately unclear. It was extremely cold in Littleton Sunday night and Monday morning, with low wind chill factors beyond minus 10 degrees.

Littleton Fire Chief Scott Wodzinski told The Boston Globe the homeowner met responders outside the home, saying his wife was still inside.
